《福爾摩斯與華生》（英語：Elementary，又譯：美版現代福爾摩斯、美版福爾摩斯、福爾摩斯與華生），是一部美國電視劇，於2012年9月27日起在CBS周四晚10點播出，是亞瑟·柯南·道爾的夏洛克·福爾摩斯系列偵探小說的現代化改編。約翰·李·米勒飾演夏洛克·福爾摩斯、劉玉玲飾演約翰·華生。於5月29日台灣由公視頻道首播。

2018年5月12日，CBS宣布預定了本劇第七季的消息，且為最後一季只有13集，播出日期為5月23日美東時間晚上10點。

第二季終一聲不響只留下一張字條，就隻身跑到 英國MI6情報局工作；第三季初被MI6解僱後，帶著新學徒凱瑟琳『凱特』回到紐約市，幫忙偵破電梯密室殺人案件後，重回紐約市警局工作，但和華生是分開獨立工作。

開發和製作

在「福爾摩斯與華生」中福爾摩斯是蘇格蘭場（倫敦警察廳）前顧問[7]，而且福爾摩斯是一個癮君子，他來到紐約到康復中心接受康復治療[7]並和「戒癮伴護」瓊·華生一同留在了布魯克林區[7][8]。

和《新世紀福爾摩斯》的關係

2012年初《新世紀福爾摩斯》的製作人蘇惟周表示哥倫比亞廣播公司曾向《新世紀福爾摩斯》的製作公司哈斯伍德電影公司表示希望把《新世紀福爾摩斯》改編成面向美國觀眾的版本[9]。

據我們所知，哥倫比亞廣播公司正在製作他們自己版本的現代福爾摩斯。有意思的是，之前他們曾提議翻拍我們的版本。當時他們曾保證絕不會有版權問題，因此我們衷心希望他們的版本和我們的沒有任何相似之處。但假如出現版權紛爭，就會變成十分棘手的情況。[9]

福爾摩斯翻拍的想法最終化為烏有[9]，但是哥倫比亞廣播公司開始開發自己的現代版新世紀福爾摩斯，並使用「Elementary」一名[9]。蘇惟周說哈斯伍德電影公司對哥倫比亞廣播公司的這個想法感到「非常令人擔憂」[10]。

另一方面，哥倫比亞廣播公司聲明他們的節目不會侵犯《新世紀福爾摩斯》的版權[3]。

我們劇集中的夏洛克·福爾摩斯以及瓊安·華生將以亞瑟·柯南·道爾的夏洛克·福爾摩斯系列偵探小說以及公有文化背景作為基礎。我們尊重版權法，並不會盜用任何仍然受到版權保護的故事或作品。[3]


英國廣播公司曾威脅稱要起訴哥倫比亞廣播公司[11]，也許是為了應對可能的侵權指控，哥倫比亞廣播公司將約翰·華生這一角色設定成為女性[12]。
