2022年美國職棒大聯盟球季是美國聯盟和國家聯盟共同存在後的第122個賽季，這年球季預定於3月31日進行開幕戰。明星賽於7月19日在洛杉磯道奇的主場道奇體育場進行。克里夫蘭印地安人在這年改名為克里夫蘭守護者。

2021年12月2日，大聯盟因為勞資雙方出現薪資談判分歧導致大聯盟無限期休館。[4]而國家聯盟也打算在這年採取指定打擊制，未來投手上場的打擊可能永不復見。[5]

2022年3月10日，大聯盟和球員工會達成新版CBA共識。該團體協約涵蓋2022年賽季到2026年賽季。不僅將季後賽隊伍增加到12支球隊，延長賽和雙重賽規定也都改回2019年以前的舊制。

大聯盟在2021年8月4日公布2022年球季162場例行賽賽程。[6]

大聯盟夢幻成真系列賽將在這年8月11日續辦，由芝加哥小熊與辛辛那提紅人上演對決戲碼。[7]

  • 響尾蛇隊的Seth Beer成為大聯盟首位在開幕戰擊出再見全壘打的菜鳥球員。[8]
  • 守護者隊的Steven Kwan在生涯前5場比賽上壘18次，寫下大聯盟紀錄。[9]

  • 紅人隊的杭特·格林和Art Warren在5月15日面對海盜隊合計投出8局無安打，但球隊最終以0比1輸球。海盜隊在8月下靠著3次保送形成滿壘，齊布萊恩·海耶斯敲出滾地球護送三壘跑者跑回致勝分。這也是大聯盟第六次出現投手投出無安打但所屬球隊最終輸球的情況。[16]

  • 大都會隊的Tylor Megill、Drew Smith、喬利·羅德里格斯、Seth Lugo和Edwin Díaz在4月29日面對費城人隊投出接力無安打比賽，整場比賽大都會雖然投出6次保送，但也送出12次三振。[17]
  • 天使隊的Reid Detmers在5月10日面對光芒隊投出無安打比賽，光芒隊整場比賽只靠著一次保送和一次失誤上壘。這僅僅是Detmers生涯第11場先發，他也是天使隊史最年輕投出無安打比賽的投手。[18]

  • 休士頓太空人：
    • 他們在4月7日達成連續10年開幕戰奪勝，追平1887年到1896年波士頓食豆人隊的大聯盟紀錄。[19][20]
  • Alyssa Nakken(舊金山巨人)：
